My traditional land and sea scapes, although mostly realistic,
also attempt to capture the sense of the location
as well as my emotional reaction to the place and time.
Since I am not native to this corner of the country,
when I discover these icons of the low-country and coast,
I attempt to capture my joy, amazement
and pleasure at finding these spots.
One of my goals when creating one of these paintings
is to invite the viewer to walk into them
and enjoy the location I have found.
